21-23 June is the weekend when Millenáris will fill to the brim with sizzling and toasting and grilling, all the artery-clogging delicacies that are so hard to live with or without. Competitors can enter in three categories: beef, extra and vegetarian, so everyone will get their heart’s desire as well as eating their fill. This is not a day for the squeamish, the best hamburger chefs gather on Millenáris to show what they, and their burgers, are made of.
When looking for the best of the best, don’t let’s forget about our competitive eaters either. Eating competitions aren’t all that common in Hungary; Hungarians tend to like eating for eating’s sake. This weekend though, it’s all you can eat: the hungriest can enter in teams or solo, and get a set time to eat as many burgers as they can. Not rocket science, really, and still the winner will get a prize money of 100.000 HUF! Now, that’s not half bad.
