Up until now there haven't been many extreme ice skating rinks in Budapest - except for maybe the rooftop ice terrace at Westend City Centre - but now we can even glide on a golf course. Naturally, the staff at Academy Golf Budapest didn't pour water on the beautiful green lawn in order to freeze it, instead they've transformed their panoramic terrace into a 200m2 ice skating rink.
Since golf is a seasonal sport, Academy Golf Budapest in Buda is offering additional recreational opportunities for people to enjoy even with the onset of the colder months.
The rink is ideal for families with children, because although the ice surface is not very big, it is surrounded by plastic backboards for absolute safety. The golf club also includes a high quality clubhouse and service environment, which represents a whole different level to a “traditional” golf course. The unique atmosphere and view of the surrounding small hills and green landscape are additional reasons to take advantage of this special experience.

Rent skates for 700 forints and if there's demand there will also be skating classes.
