How come we never thought about it earlier?! It was the beginning of Go-Free Bar''s history, when the founders were walking around the streets of Brussels either before a good waffle, or after a creamy one. The answer to the question was they brought home the Belgian dough and the all-day long open concept as well. The next step was to create an appropriate space, so now the smell of fresh waffles is floating around in the 7th district.

Warranty: dumpling, machine

You could buy waffles in Budapest before, but their dough was completely different. Go-Free Bar brings the dough from Belgium as frozen dumplings and then they bake it with pearl sugar in the middle of it. The dough is just way thicker than the one you would prepare at home, and you don't have to wait awkwardly long minutes for it. It has a few secret ingredients, but eggs, milk, butter, yeast and flour are definitely used by the Belgian factory. The manufacture Go-Free Bar order from is a popular one: they've been making dough for decades.

Dohány Street's waffle costs 330 HUF and we can ask toppings for 100-150 HUF. There are classic mixes, like waffle with nutella and strawberry, or ice cream with whipped cream, but it is allowed to let your waffle-creativity go.

Hedonistic moodGo-Free Bar is open every day, and it doesn't matter if you are craving for a fresh waffle for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner, or after a huge party. On Saturday and Sunday you are welcomed here until 4 am in the morning. You can have an omelette, a sandwich, or a salad here as well for breakfast and for lunch. Have no doubts: if you are starving when you sit down at one of their revived tables (bought at Ecseri market) with a waffle, you'll walk out the place as your stomach is filled. If you have no time for sitting around, ask for a takeaway. Or just eat the half of it then drink a refreshing fruit shake with the second half.

Fruit cocoaEveryone has moments, when something sweet is necessary, and having a waffle could satisfy this need easily. A friend in need is a friend indeed, so we shouldn't be selfish, and take our friends with us who could use a bit of sweet time. When you're here and you're not up for waffles for some mysterious reason, you can try the cold fruit soup as well. To double the sweetness, the fruits dipped into chocolate fountains won't be just a dream soon.

Since sweetness and a good chance of glucose overdose are piling up largely, Go-Free Bar is planning to offer soon gluten- and lactose-free waffles and toppings as well. What else should you expect? The smell of vanilla on the streets of Budapest.
