The Rudas is found a few steps in front of the rocks of Gellért Hill, near the Hungária, Attila and Juventus springs. These Turkish baths were built at the time of the Ottoman occupation in the 16th century, while the spa complex was added at the end of the 19th century. The Rudas placed great emphasis on tradition, so the baths were made men-only in 1936. Women are currently admitted on Tuesdays, while Saturdays and Sundays are co-ed. A 21st-century overhaul and modernisation have been kind, retaining the Ottoman atmosphere while adding a panoramic jacuzzi and sunbathing terrace. Night bathing takes place between 10pm and 4am on Friday and Saturdays, though the sauna area only operates between 8am and 10pm.
