This spacious Eastern restaurant on Széll Kálmán tér is basically the larger version of popular downtown Middle-Eastern eatery Dobrumba. Its authentic interior design was inspired by the worldwide journeys of the founders, who filled the locale with unique treasures from flea markets. Their openness and personal touches are also reflected on the menu, comprised of their favourite dishes “from Cairo to Calcutta”. To complete the friendly atmosphere, visitors are always greeted with a warm welcome, whether they arrive alone, with children, dogs or in a larger group. Sharing is the main concept when it comes to the menu. There are various hot and cold mezze options for everyone to combine and create their own preferred selection, but visitors can also share a fine hummus plate, the Iranian chargrilled fish dish mahi shekampor, as well as goats’ cheese and figs. An absolute must is the eight-course thali plate, which takes guests on a culinary trip through India, fork by fork.
