The department store (Párisi Nagy Áruház), built at the beginning of the 20th century, was counted among the most modern, late Art-Nouveau constructions back in the day, and has remained a beautiful and unique sight in classy Andrássy Avenue. It functioned as a casino, a shopping mall, and then a bookstore until 2017. It always offered a breathtakingly beautiful, lavish atmosphere with its spectacular interior and the gorgeous murals of renowned Hungarian painter, Károly Lotz. Underneath the meticulously painted ceiling (in Café Parisi) we can even drink a cup of coffee or enjoy a slice of cake. From 2018 Andrássy Élményközpont operates in the building, showcasing interactive scientific exhibitions and events, and 360 Bar offers an amazing panorama and tasty drinks on its rooftop.
