To get away from it all and back to nature, with a great view, too, then the rock formation of Ördög-orom in District XII is a sound choice. Steep, rocky terrain is followed by lighter forest trails surrounded by protected plants and birds. Six stations and half an hour later, you’ll be greeted by a magnificent view: besides Széchenyi Hill, Sas Hill and Tétényi plateau, you can also see the villas that were probably built to help their owners hide from the curious eyes of others. Up here at a height of 317 metres, you can sit and relax. To reach Ördög-orom, take bus 8E from the city centre and alight at the Eper utca stop – signs indicate the way from close by.
