Small as it may be, the Lutheran Museum, right next to the Evangelical Church of Deák Square, is really innovative. The place that showcases the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Hungarian Lutheran Church in a unique way received three awards from the ICOM International Council of Museums in 2017. Created together with MOME Techlab’s creative workshop, the digital applications and informative programs help the orientation of visitors who can build altars and take a look around inside Lutheran churches across the country with the help of applications that provide a 360-degree view. Visitors can also choose from among various songs according to the church year at the “sound shower”, and can play on a digitally modified organ. Renovated in 2016, the museum was expanded with a temporary exhibition area and an event hall in the basement.
