The National Library of Foreign Literature (Országos Idegennyelvű Könyvtár) is the reference library of the human sciences. The priority areas of expertise of the library’s collection include world literature, literary criticism, linguistics, music, musicology, national literature and scientific literature. At the national level, the library possesses one of the most prestigious foreign language collections, but its Hungarian-language book stock is significant, as well. It offers language books and multimedia excipients for the learning of 110 languages, and in terms of language distribution, its journal stocks are unique on a national level. The National Library of Foreign Literature is also a gentility reference library, and the center of national document-supply coordination. Its collection is continuously enriched.
