Budapest’s biggest, free water playground can be found on Berzsenyi utca. The park is designed for children under 14 and offers nine features connected to water. One of the most popular is the stream bed, where children can channel the water’s flow with floodgates, but there is also a gold-panning bank, a lighthouse climbing frame and a playship. There are also bike racks and a drinking fountain and, until the recently planted trees grow a bit larger, shade sheets provide protection from the sun.

Tip: Check the weather before going, because if the temperature falls below 20 degrees or there’s a coming storm, the water elements are switched off.
