The Ferenc Hopp Museum of Asiatic Arts was founded in 1919 by the traveler, and arts collector Ferenc Hopp. Since its foundation it has been the only museum of Asian cultures and arts in Hungary, with temporary exhibitions on view evolving around different Asian themes. The unique oriental garden around the villa has always been a curiosity, and it still plays an important role in the everyday life of the museum. The museum is also home to Hungary’s only Asian arts library, that aims at promoting Asian culture and arts, especially visual art. If you would like to be part of this Eastern experience, visit the museum on Andrássy Avenue.
