Holnemvolt Vár, built on the site of a former amusement park, is an entertainment complex designed especially for families with small children. 'Once Upon A Time Castle' has a petting zoo, a riding stable, arts and crafts workshops and fairground rides, but the main attraction is Hetedhét Palace. In this four-storey indoor playground, each room is based on different Hungarian tales, such as Vuk the Fox or Süsü the One-Headed Dragon. An aquarium called Shark School and a Hedgehog Hospital, the zoo’s emergency veterinary centre, also features.
Tip: Tickets to Budapest Zoo are valid for Holnemvolt Vár, but separate admission is also available.
