On the border of District II and District III, 495-metre-high Hármashatár Hill is a popular getaway for many reasons. Hikers can stroll on the shaded walking trails amid oak and pine forests, the blue one leading right to the top, crowned by TV and radio towers. Popular with paragliders, the slopes provide spectacular views of Budapest. In good visibility you can even see three other ranges: Pilis, Cserhát and Mátra. Once you’re there, it’s worth hiking to the Lion Rock of Kecske Hill and the Árpád lookout tower atop Látó Hill. The hill can be reached by taking bus 65 from Kolosy tér in Óbuda, District III.
