The name Gundel is emblematic in the history of Hungarian gastronomy. Restaurant founder, Károly Gundel, had a great sense of using modern methods and it was his pioneering work that placed Hungary on the world gastronomy map by blending Hungarian cuisine with French influences. The legacy of his century-old restaurant has been kept alive ever since. The secret of its popularity is the staff’s unmatched hospitality, the historic milieu and the constantly evolving kitchen working with the finest ingredients. In April 2018, famed Hungarian chef Zsolt Litauszki joined to head the culinary team.
