Giero Pub is a small, mysterious nook, only visible thanks to the small sign above the entrance. Landlady Gizi néni has been serving guests in this basement hostelry for many years, amid lace tablecloths and antique furniture. Cheap drinks and live Gypsy music enhance the mood here – the violin starts up around 10pm every day. If you’re wondering who Giero is, the answer is hidden in a signed photograph above one of the tables: It was stage name of Gizi’s father, a former musician.
