You just can’t miss the vibrant yellow building in Corvin Quarter that is Corvin Cinema, the only multiplex in Budapest in a separate building. Throughout its history, three years stand out: it was opened in 1922, turned into a wide-screen cinema in 1957, and in 1996 it was rebuilt into a multiplex with multiple halls. The impressive, Art Nouveau-Bauhaus main hall that can seat approximately 500 people successfully preserved the air of a theatre auditorium. The time-honoured cinema is equipped with cutting-edge audiovisual technologies. Corvin Cinema is a popular meeting spot and the location for film festivals and most Hungarian premier nights.
