If you like the idea of beer and burger, then Chris Bar & Burger will be right up your alley. Located on one of the lively streets of Budapest's party district, it's a laid-back burger spot, making you feel like walking into one of your mates’ place. Neon signs hang above, a wall is decorated with vinyl and Polaroid photos, and you are fairly soon offered a menu boasting hearty burgers - chicken, pulled pork, goat cheese, Angus beef, juicy bison, or extra bacon (not to mention the monthly offer), your call. You can add steak or sweet potatoes, salad, or onion rings on the side. There is an impressive assortment of drinks, but we say go with Chris' signature beer, including wheat, cherry and craft beers, IPAs and hop Lager. To finish your meal, order a brownie or some American pancakes.
Tip: If you are after a sweet breakfast spot, head to the charming Lara Café next door. The two places are owned by the same couple, Lara and Chris, so not only are the eateries side-by-side, but their owners also walk hand-in-hand in life, supporting each other's passion projects.
