Budai Kettő on Varsányi Irén utca quickly became a neighbourhood favourite to start the day. The service is friendly, they open early and their selection keeps expanding. This means that it’s a great place for coffee and a bite, enjoyed on the small terrace in warmer weather. Their desserts are superb, just like the pastries, and they have various sandwiches which you can ask to be grilled. A nicely decorated light or dark roast coffee goes well with these, but their cordials and dessert pots also merit investigation. Budai Pékség on Maros utca near Városmajor has a similar selection, as it's also part of the family. A separate confectionery to order cakes also belongs to the business. They opened a third café at the end of 2017.
