Opening at 7.30am and closing at midnight, Börze (‘Stock Exchange’) is a café, deli, brunch venue and restaurant all under one roof. The interior is decorated with sophisticated French mosaic flooring, burgundy and brass seats, custom-made lamps, marble tables and elegant yet simple Thonet chairs. Stepping inside you are greeted by a deli counter lined with a variety of cold delicacies for takeaway or eating on the spot, cheeses, sausage, hams, French salads and aubergine cream. Börze’s little shop also sells fine wines and other handpicked items, such as lavender essence and soaps. As for meals, beside the à la carte selection including delicious guinea-fowl broth with handmade noodles and duck-leg confit with braised cabbage, the restaurant also offers an affordable two-course daily lunch special.
