Located on Sas utca, a short walk from St Stephen’s Basilica, Borkonyha fuses a French-style bistro, a homely Hungarian eatery and a classic wine bar. The wine card includes 200, mostly Hungarian, varieties from small producers and well-known wineries alike. As for the food, the restaurant gained a Michelin star in 2014. The chef, Ákos Sárközi, cooks up a seasonally changing menu that draws inspiration from the gastronomy of various nations, including Transylvanian, Spanish, French and Italian.
