The Auguszt Confectionery's history dates back to 1870, which makes it the second oldest sweet store in Budapest, after Gerbeaud. The Buda side's Auguszt (ran by József Auguszt) is situated near Millenáris Park, and is a perfect place for having an ice-cream, a tasty coffee concoction, or palatable pastries. The Auguszt confectioner-family has been playing a key role in Budapest’s pastry and coffee shop scene since the XIX. century; everything labeled with the family emblem is characterized by flawless hospitality and exquisite pastries.
