From fisherman’s soup to oven-baked stuffed cabbage and poppy-seed bejgli, every dish reflects the same reliable, restaurant-level quality we’ve come to expect from the group’s venues, without the burden of holiday meal prep. Orders can be collected between 15–24 December at 21 A Magyar Vendéglő and Spíler Buda, with the deadline set for the morning of 22 December. VakVarjú family restaurant
In the kitchens of the Varjúfészek chefs, preparations for the festive season are already in full swing. Their takeaway Christmas menu brings both classic flavours and creative twists to the holiday table, as the chefs are known for their inventive approach. Traditional Advent carp and catfish fisherman’s soup sit comfortably alongside confit duck leg, Transylvanian stuffed cabbage, and smoked pork-knuckle aspic served with beetroot horseradish cream and fermented cucumber relish. If you leave the cooking to VakVarjú, you can enjoy a calmer lead-up to Christmas in the company of your loved ones. Their seasonal menu always offers something for everyone, from fresh salads to grilled dishes, fish and meats. As Christmas approaches, Larus once again caters to those who would rather skip the kitchen marathon but still enjoy a festive meal. Orders can be placed until 21 December, with collection on 23 December in the afternoon or 24 December in the morning. The menu sounds just as celebratory as it tastes: elegant foie-gras brûlée with Tokaji quince jelly, steaming Baja-style fisherman’s soup with Akasztó carp, crispy porchetta, pink duck breast with brown-butter sweet potato – and a line-up of classic desserts from orange chocolate cake to flódni and bejgli. For more than a decade, KIOSK Budapest has been preparing Christmas dinners and festive boxes shaped by the feedback and wishes of their guests. Every order and carefully hand-packed box carries not only traditional homemade dishes but also plenty of love and attention – making holiday preparations noticeably easier. All dishes are made from organic, chemical-free ingredients, and more and more come directly from their own farm. Everything – savoury or sweet – is prepared in their own kitchen and bakery, entirely free from additives and preservatives, in the spirit of responsible and sustainable operation. Expect cold foie gras, fisherman’s soup, stuffed cabbage, snow crescent cookies, gingerbread, eggnog and many other nostalgic classics that evoke childhood memories. Orders are placed online, and meals can be collected 48 hours after ordering.

Séf Asztala
Séf Asztala is once again offering a special festive range this year. Their Christmas selection includes classics such as fisherman’s soup, catfish paprikash with curd noodles, stuffed cabbage with sour cream, as well as bejgli, zserbó, chocolate babka, braided challah and sourdough country bread – all available for pre-order or for purchase in their shops. For New Year’s Eve, they have a takeaway menu featuring lentil stew with confit pork neck, korhely soup and chocolate babka. If cooking time is in short supply, you can order the finest traditional holiday dishes online or collect them in person at their Kossuth tér restaurant or the bakery at Sashalmi Market. Christmas orders are accepted until 17 December, while New Year’s packages can be ordered until 28 December.
