MiniPig Café
There’s no shortage of quirky cafés in the capital, but MiniPig Café might just take the crown for the most unusual one. Tucked away on Paulay Ede utca 2, this spot invites you to spend your coffee break in the company of tiny piglets.Meeting the piglets takes place under strict rules. Before going upstairs, visitors must swap their shoes for slippers and use sanitiser. You can book a time slot online, but there’s no problem if you just drop in from the street and feel like a little piglet playtime. Each session lasts 30 minutes, with a 15-minute break between groups and a longer pause at midday.

Cat Café Budapest
If you prefer a more peaceful setting, head to Révay utca 3, just a few steps from St Stephen’s Basilica. Cat Café Budapest is home to around 15 feline residents — from sleepy rescue cats to fluffy Maine Coons. The two-storey café feels like a cozy living room, where cats lounge on bookshelves and armchairs while guests sip cappuccinos or read a book.
The rules are simple: no picking up or feeding the cats, and let them approach you first. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a city stroll or simply enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by gentle purring.

The Dog Bakery Budapest
Tucked away on Kertész utca 43 in the VII district, The Dog Bakery Budapest takes the dog-friendly café to a whole new level. Entering The Dog Bakery Budapest, you will immediately notice that there is a large empty spacein the middle. This is mainly for the dogs to run around and play, while their owners can settle down at the tables along the wall. Dogs can also sit on top of these tables, as nothing's off-limits for them in the Dog Bakery. There are some rules, but once a dog is inside, it is the main attraction, and the owner is just a chaperone.
