KATTT AT TURBINA

Budapest's unstoppable KATTT collective kicked off the club season with a bang — and they're not slowing down anytime soon. On October 24, they'll take over Turbina, filling every room with their signature sound. Expect pulsating techno in the main hall and groovy, slower beats in the club room, keeping the energy high all night long.

RAKPART CLOSING WEEKEND

As the city prepares for the colder months, it's time to say farewell to one of Budapest's favourite summer traditions — the car-free Rakpart weekends. From 24–26 October, the Jane Haining rakpart transforms one last time into an open urban playground, filled with workshops, concerts, exhibitions and community programmes. Expect everything from silk-painting and clothing swaps to live music, open-mic sessions, DJ sets, and a nostalgic farewell dinner on Sunday evening. Organised by Valyo – City and River, the Rakpart project has brought people closer to the Danube all season long — and this final weekend is your chance to experience its creative, free-spirited vibe one more time before spring.

PUMPKIN LANTERN FESTIVAL

On 25 October, Heroes' Square will glow with hundreds of pumpkin lanterns as the 17th Charity Pumpkin Lantern Festival lights up Budapest from 7 pm to 9 pm. Visitors can bring their own carved pumpkins, admire others' creations, and enjoy the cheerful Halloween atmosphere — all while helping families in need.

ERIK SUMO’S 20TH BIRTHDAY CONCERT AT AKVÁRIUM KLUB

Erik Sumo celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, and to mark the occasion, the band will perform in a special line-up at Akvárium Klub on 25 October. Joining the stage will be Erzsi Kiss, Edina Kurzora, Veronika Harcsa, Ambrus Tövisházi, Gergely Gáspár, Gergely Drapos, Ádám Mészáros and István Pápai. The concert will feature the best, most danceable, and wildest tracks from every era of the band’s two-decade journey.

CERAMIC WORKSHOPS AT AMMA

The AMMA ceramics studio on Mária Street is a creative hub that welcomes hobbyists, professional ceramicists and curious newcomers alike — offering workshops, professional talks and even a small shop. This autumn, you can take part in two hands-on sessions led by Dorka Esze (de.ceramics). On 26 October, participants will craft plates and mugs, decorating them with carvings, playful handles, delicate patterns and a glaze of their choice. Then, on 7 November, the focus shifts to butter dishes, which you can personalise with your own handle, design and selected glaze.
