Friday, 19 June

ONE BEER FESTIVAL 2026

Returning for its second edition on 19 June, the One Beer Festival takes over the Lechner Event Centre and Cellar System in Kőbánya, putting the spotlight firmly on Hungary's craft beer scene. Some of the country's most prominent breweries will be pouring their creations, including One Beer, HopTop, Monyo, Mad Scientist, Horizont, LöWolf and Etyeki Sörmanufaktúra. Alongside classic IPAs and stouts, visitors can look forward to a range of special brews, while unlimited beer tastings, live music and a street food selection promise a full day of flavour and entertainment.

FAT FREDDY'S WITH THEIR FIRST-EVER BUDAPEST SHOW

Fat Freddy's Drop will perform in Budapest for the very first time on 19 June at Akvárium Klub, bringing their Based on a True Story 21st anniversary tour to the city. Formed in New Zealand's underground scene, the band became known for blending reggae, dub, soul, jazz, and electronic sounds into a distinctive live experience.

ALL IN BUBBLES TASTING AT TIME OUT MARKET

From Italian Franciacorta and Prosecco to Spanish Cava and Hungarian sparkling wines, the All In Bubbles Tasting brings more than 20 bubbly drinks to Time Out Market Budapest on 19 June. The evening features three tasting stations, music, and a chance to explore a wide range of sparkling styles from across Europe.

BELVÁROSI GARDRÓBVÁSÁR: PRE-LOVED FASHION MARKET

This community-focused clothes market invites you to buy, sell or swap quality pre-loved pieces - from vintage gems to modern staples - all at accessible prices. Running from 11am to 7pm (rain date: 27 June), visitors can also donate clean, wearable clothing to families in need via the Nem Adom Fel Alapítvány stand, making it a feel-good day of style, community and purpose.

NIGHT OF MUSEUMS 2026

Museum Night returns on 20 June, inviting visitors to explore hundreds of museums, galleries, and cultural venues across Hungary with a single wristband. The nationwide event features thousands of programmes, including concerts, guided tours, workshops, family activities, gastronomy events, and interactive experiences. While most venues can be visited with the official wristband, some programmes require advance registration.

BABEL WORLD JAZZ FESTIVAL AT BABEL GARDEN

Between 16 and 20 June, Babel Garden hosts the Babel World Jazz Festival, a five-day celebration of contemporary jazz and its many intersections with soul, groove, bossa nova and improvisational music. The programme brings together artists from Taiwan, South Africa, Thailand, Australia, Brazil, South Korea, the United States, Poland and Hungary, creating a truly international musical experience in the heart of Budapest.

GENERALI CHILDREN'S ISLAND 2026

The summer holidays begin on Hajógyári Island, where Generali Children's Island returns between 19 and 21 June with three days of free family-friendly programmes. Concerts, puppet theatre performances, circus shows, craft workshops and interactive activities await children and parents alike, while performers including Judit Halász, Kaláka, Apacuka, Kiskalász, Belvárosi Betyárok and Lóca Együttes take to the stage throughout the weekend.

THE SIP CLUB - WINE TASTING AT THE GARDEN

The Sip Club is a relaxed, English-language wine club hosted at The Garden, where shared experiences, slowing down and discovering new flavours take centre stage. The Orange Edition on 21 June invites guests to sample five different natural skin-contact wines, paired with a vegetarian Turkish-style communal dinner. Participants will also receive tasting notes and a short introduction to the featured wines, while a surprise element adds an extra touch to the evening. Organised in collaboration with Lasciva Wines, the event requires advance registration.

VAJDAHUNYADVÁR CULTURAL FESTIVAL 2026

To celebrate the 130th anniversary of the founding of the Hungarian Museum of Agriculture, Vajdahunyad Castle hosts a three-day cultural festival between 19 and 21 June. The programme includes exhibitions, guided tours, collection visits, castle walks, family activities, concerts, tastings and craft workshops, bringing one of Budapest's most iconic landmarks to life throughout the weekend. Visitors can also enjoy folk dance events, circus performances, a petting zoo, a market and an evening light show. Entry is free, although some programmes require advance registration.
