SZIGET FESTIVAL 2026
Hungary's biggest music and cultural festival returns to Óbuda Island from 11 to 16 August, as Sziget Festival unveils the first wave of artists for its 32nd edition. The 2026 lineup already promises a standout year, with Twenty One Pilots, Florence + the Machine, Tomora, Lewis Capaldi and Sombr among the headliners, alongside performances by Underworld, Dijon, Tash Sultana, Dom Dolla and Biffy Clyro. The bill also features Ashnikko, Lambrini Girls, Bad Nerves and Giant Rooks, with more Hungarian acts still to come.

DISNEY H2O ALLSTARS PARTY AT A38 SHIP
A38 Ship hosts a nostalgic H2O-themed party celebrating the songs and series many of us grew up with. Expect Disney hits all night long, themed cocktails, plenty of singalongs and a dance floor full of fellow fans reliving their favourite childhood memories.

SEISMIC SHIFT - CHARITY EVENT AT SPOTx CLUB
On 14 and 16 August, SPOTx Club hosts Seismic Shift, a two-day charity event where Budapest's underground electronic music scene comes together in support of SOS Children's Villages Hungary. Alongside DJ sets and late-night dancing, the event highlights the power of community, with every performer, crew member and organiser volunteering their time to help raise funds for children in need.

SHOKUPAN POP-UP AT COFFEE CAPITAL
On 14 and 15 August, Coffee Capital welcomes Shokupan for a two-day pop-up celebrating Japanese comfort food. Drop by to try its fluffy milk bread transformed into crispy katsu sandos, sweet fruit sandos and mochi, whether you're already a fan of Japanese sandwiches or simply curious to see what all the hype is about. The pop-up takes place on Friday from 6pm to 10pm and Saturday from 12pm to 5pm.

DOGHOUSE BUDAPEST × HEROES ATHLETE CLUB
On 16 August, Doghouse Budapest and Heroes Athlete Club join forces for a 90-minute Dual workout combining boxing and functional training. Participants switch between punch bag drills and conditioning circuits halfway through the session, while a live DJ keeps the atmosphere closer to a sports party than a traditional workout. Spaces are limited, and bringing your own boxing gloves is recommended.

FAMILY DAY - BUDAPEST PARK
Budapest Park once again hands the stage over to its youngest visitors for another edition of PöttömPark. Families can enjoy concerts by Rutkai Bori Banda, interactive performances, music workshops, craft activities, face painting, LEGO sessions, sports games and plenty more, making it one of the city's most entertaining family programmes of the weekend.

YOUNG ARTISTS MONTH AT VELVET BAR & CAFÉ
Throughout August, Velvet Bar & Café at Al Habtoor Palace Budapest hosts Young Artists Month, a month-long exhibition showcasing the work of four emerging Hungarian artists. With a different artist featured each week, the elegant café transforms into a changing gallery where contemporary art, coffee and cocktails come together in a relaxed setting. It's a lovely excuse to drop by and discover some of Hungary's up-and-coming creative talent.
