Autumn Wekerle garage sale
On 26 September, the streets of Wekerle turn into a bustling marketplace as the Wekerle Garage Sale Festival returns for its 23rd edition this autumn. Clothes, toys, books, home décor, electronics and plenty of other pre-loved treasures will be looking for new homes, with more than 50 courtyards opening their doors to bargain hunters. Beyond the shopping, the festival is all about a friendly, community atmosphere - and it's also a great excuse to wander around the neighbourhood and discover more about Wekerle's history and distinctive character.

Solymár Garage Sale Festival 2026
On 3 October, the Solymár Garage Sale Festival takes place for the first time, with locals opening up their gardens and garages for the day to sell items they no longer need. Browse everything from children's clothes, toys and books to furniture, gardening tools, kitchenware, sports equipment and retro finds. More than 80 locations are taking part, all marked on a shared map, so you can easily turn your treasure hunt into a walk around the area or combine it with a visit to the ruins of Solymár Castle.

Antik Placc - Antique Market at Klauzál Market Hall
Antik Placc welcomes antique lovers to Klauzál Market Hall every Sunday between 26 September and 1 November, with Hungarian and international sellers offering everything from antique and vintage finds to ceramics, porcelain, glassware, jewellery, textiles and home décor. The selection changes from week to week, so there's always something new to discover. Beyond browsing the stalls, you can also chat with the sellers and learn more about the stories behind some of the pieces.

Makers' Market
Fény Street Market gets a creative makeover on 4 October, when nearly 100 Hungarian designers and makers gather for the next Makers' Market. Expect illustrations and prints, ceramics, jewellery, fashion, accessories and homeware, alongside a curated selection of food and deli products. Music from DJ Donnie Jep and Kisjankó will accompany the browsing, while TAXITURI, the community clothing project run by Adománytaxi, will also return with a selection of second-hand pieces whose sales support the foundation's work.

Hello Piac
Hello Piac returns to Erzsébet Square on 10 October, bringing Hungarian designers and small businesses together in the heart of the city. You can browse bags, clothes, jewellery, home décor, natural cosmetics, handmade food products, children's accessories and sustainable alternatives, all directly from their makers. The fair also puts a focus on conscious shopping and products made by people with disabilities. Entry is free, and dogs are welcome too.
