Party series are practical things in the sense that you can simply continue partying from where you left off last time. There are no bad surprises, only familiar vibes and faces that make you feel comfortable. Luckily, there are plenty of places in Budapest that offer party series ,and we collected our favorites for all of you to enjoy.

Lost Minute @ Mika Tivadar Mulató

Lost Minute has been only kicking out the jams for a month, but has quickly become a favorite of Budapestian party-goers. The team of Peter Barnath and Naga DJ spice up Friday nights in Kazinczy Street with their house and techno underground tunes every other week. The party is further boosted by various paintings and artistic installations.

Dansmusiq @ A38

Our favorite boat in Buda is worth visiting any time, especially when Dansmusiq takes over the stage. If there were an artisan category in music, we'd use that term to describe Dansmusiq’s style, but if we had to label the music with actual genres, it's a house-techno-acid mixture with a romantic spicing.

Next date: 20th December, Friday
Entrance fee: 2700 Ft / 3300 Ft

Random trip @ A38

Random trip is one of the most popular party series of Budapest dating back to 2008. It's held on Tuesdays every week, and has been a huge success ever since the beginning. The show is always random (living up to its name), and the performers are always of the cream of the crop. The music varies from funk and disco to hip-hop and drum'n'bass, to the delight of twenty- and thirtysomething random trippers.

Next date: 3rd December, Tuesday
Entrance fee: 500 Ft

Monday Session @ kolor

Many can't wait for party sessions until the weekend and want to have fun on Monday nights, too. They are the urban-terminators of the city who live before and after Monday Session, looking forward to the first workday of the week. The show is diverse and easy to digest with electronic music, hip-hop, and an elated atmosphere.

Nightdrive @ Toldi

The classic of Juan Atkins should be familiar to everyone even after 30 years, and besides, Nightdrive is a perfect name for a party series. This party is held twice every month and is famous for its strong bass, hip-hop, house and techno line-up even among tourists.

Next date: 29th November, Friday

JazzaJ @ Mika Tivadar Mulató

Jazz never went out of date; it actually gained more popularity recently. Mika Tivadar's JazzaJ party series aims to bring a little more of this everlasting style to Budapest with the help of performers who aren't afraid of mixing in some electronic elements and youthful energies into their music.

Next date: 4th December, Wednesday
Entrance fee: optional - recommended donation: 500 Ft / 1000 Ft

Rewind @ Corvintető

Rewind might be the oldest party series of Budapest with its 15-year history. Iconic Wednesdays here correlate with the name of DJ Zsolt Palotai and a packed Corvintető. DJ Palotai told us in an earlier interview that he thinks these night are about the here and now, and that the performers think globally about music, not bound by genres.

Next date: 4th December, Wednesday
