Sport
Sport is one of the most popular Hungarian chocolate bars. A layer of dark chocolate envelops a light cocoa-fondant filling enhanced with the essence of rum. They come in small, normal and extra large sizes, and there are versions with milk chocolate and nuts too. The chocolate bar dates back to 1953 and launched around the same time the sports stadium, now known as the Ferenc Puskás Stadium, was completed. Eat a Sport and do some sport!

Túró Rudi
A classic sweet treat, loved by Hungarians of every age. Basically it's a soft inner filing of cold curd cheese with a thin outer coating of dark chocolate. You'll find it in the refrigerated dairy section of shops. It's probably true that everyone in Hungary has eaten at least one (hundred) of these delicious chocolate bars in their life. Pöttyös ('dots' in English) is the most well-known brand and many say that their túró rudi is the best, but another famous Hungarian brand, Cserpes, also has its own version of túró rudi in a brown/bronze packaging. The Cserpes túró rudi is super tasty too. The Pöttyös branded version comes in natural flavour as well as a whole range of flavoured versions. It's great too that they have a 'giant' version because a normal túró rudi is simply never enough!

Balaton
This chocolate bar, which got its name from the biggest lake in Hungary, is made of wafers pressed together with cocoa-cream layers and then coated in milk chocolate or dark chocolate. There is a nutty and rum version of Balaton too, and this chocolate bar comes in different sizes as well - the bigger, the better we say!

Eperjó
Yoghurt-strawberry filing, coated in milk chocolate – sounds tempting right? Sure does! We can never resist having one more bite. Eperjó sort of translates to 'strawberry good' and this time the marketing really does do it justice, so good!

Pretty much every Hungarian who was a child in the 90s will remember this chocolate bar with its marzipan filling enhanced with sour cherry essence.

Vitorlás
Vitorlás is like the low-budget version of Balaton. Again, what we are tasting here is layers of wafers pressed together with cocoa-cream, coated in milk chocolate. But what this chocolate bar lacks in originality it makes up for in taste. If you feel like a crunch then this is the chocolate bar to take.

Bohóc
Bohóc ('clown' in English) is kind of like Sport. It has the flavour of rum and orange, and some of our colleagues say it tastes like carrot (!?), but we don't believe them! Definitely a good choice if you want to try something different.

Tibi
Tibi is not just the name of a chocolate bar, but a brand of all kinds of chocolates including chocolate blocks. It is 100% Hungarian. There are many versions to choose from: milk, white and dark chocolate, with flavours like peach, biscuits and strawberry. You'll surely find something to your liking.

Just like Tibi, Boci is another Hungarian chocolate brand, which has all the different cocoa-based treats that a chocolate-addicted life-form could need. White, dark or milk chocolate with all kinds of different fillings, Boci has what every sweet tooth needs. If you're after a chocolate bar - not necessarily a chocolate block - then don't miss out on the wafer version pictured above.

Szerencsi Retró
When it comes to Szerencs, a small town in North-Eastern Hungary, everything is all about chocolate. It made the city famous (at least in Hungary) and when you taste this dark chocolate bar, filled with smooth hazelnut cream, you'll surely understand why.

And that's just what the fabulous team behind Kapucíner have done.
