KOSTEL ÉTTEREM – KESZTÖLC

The menu is quite concise here, but steady development encourages repeat custom, and the chef's suggestions change every month. This family-run business started with a wine bar and is famous for its tastings, as well as offering excellent cuisine with cheeses and meat platters.

ŐRHÁZ & BBQ – TAHITÓTFALU

Always open at weekends whatever the weather. There’s no rush here, the meat is cooked as slowly as it needs to be – the melt-in-your-mouth brisket depends on the quality of the roaster, the ingredients and the spices. Great atmosphere, too.

RÓZSAKERT – ESZTERGOM

A great place for gourmets, overlooking the Danube, with great wine and lesser-found meats, lamb, veal and venison. Traditional Hungarian cuisine plays a big role here but making best use of modern technology and presentation.
