The performance of
Viktor Szeri
builds up and tears down roles; the dancer collects audiovisual stimulations and spaces, household objects (TV, table, remote controller, make-up tools, etc.) around himself, and creates unusual, unconventional montages out of them (like putting on too much make-up, making faces during a video). Szeri writes a diary with his performance; the show starts with the repetition of the title, the artist confesses on a glass surface with letters that grow bigger and bigger:
You take my breath away
. Szeri’s
performance
is confessing, he lets the viewer into an intimate “inner room” by working with his personal experiences, and offers the perspective of the voyeur for the audience.
