Dutch vinyl junkies Kees Berkers (Baby Galaxy, YAYAYA) and Yves Lennertz (Bounty Island) also decided to dip into SE Asian music from the ’60s and’ 70s when they created their own sound into it, providing traces of world music, disco, funk and electronica. These dynamics are echoed by the title of their debut album, Pingpxng, the juxtaposition of opposing forces. Supporting YĪN YĪN are Hungarian surf rockers, The Keeymen, whose members are formed by musicians from well-known groups.
