The group WH were formed upon the initiative of cellist/composer Albert Márkos with the aim of placing the sonnets of William Shakespeare in a new, musical context. The name of the project refers to a monogram of mysterious Mr WH to whom Shakespeare dedicated his published sonnets. Through the medium of free jazz, singing and spoken word, the verse of Shakespeare comes alive with contemporary flair.
