A repeat one-off screening from the documentary film festival Verzió, Welcome to Sodom is being shown at the OSA Archives on 7 March. The film is about waste grounds in Ghana, where big corporations dispose of their electronic cast-offs. Here, children and adolescents dismantle thousands of mobile phones, LCD TVs and notebooks in toxic smoke. After the screening, Logan Strenchock, Sustainability Officer of the Central European University, will invite a discussion with Gergely Simon from Greenpeace Hungary and Ervin Tihanyi, head of electronic waste handling at Intermetal Recycling.
