Richard Wagner’s monumental, romantic Ring tetralogy is not just a story of gods and goddesses fighting involving German mythological heroes, it's also about the economic, social and ecological changes, and the crisis of values experienced in the present day. This is of special importance for director Géza M Tóth who, having directed Das RheingoldDie Walküre, and Siegfried, will be completing the tetralogy with Götterdämmerung (Twilight of the Gods). Just as in the three previous pieces, the fundamental visual component of the theatrical universe of Götterdämmerung is the spectacle that holds a dialogue with the music, enveloping the entire stage and providing a special feeling of space. Wagner's musical drama is staged in three acts in German, with Hungarian and English surtitles.
