The Christmas fair at Budapest's iconic Vörösmarty tér is probably the most famous of all, and it opened its stalls on November 15th. You can soak up the festive spirit, admire a massive Christmas tree, sip on mulled wine, enjoy chimney cake, and even hop on a free train ride (if you are a child) until January 1st. Plus, you can get your hands on beautiful pieces from local craftsmen, including jewellery, illustrations, stationery, ceramics, hand-knitted goods, and even unique combs.
