Prague Shakespeare Company (PSC) negotiated for two years to gain the rights to this production and since it premiered in June, it has been showing to full houses.
Budapest English Theatre
is delighted to bring PSC to Budapest for two performances, on Friday 12th and Saturday 12th December, a rare opportunity to see top quality, professional theatre in English.

US film & theatre actor
Jessica Boone
stars as Vanda, an unusually talented young actress, determined to land the lead in Thomas’ new play, based on the classic erotic novel, Venus in Fur. Award winning US actor & director Guy Roberts plays Thomas, caught in Vanda’s electrifying game of cat and mouse that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and sex. As the two work through the script, they shift between play and reality, entering into an increasingly serious game of submission and domination that only one of them can win.

In one of the most demanding female roles in contemporary theatre, Boone delivers a “
knock-out interpretation
” according to The Prague Post.
