Hungarian-French artist Victor Vasarely is widely accepted as the grandfather and leader of the Op-Art movement. In the autumn of 1969, when he was already famous in France, he visited Budapest for the first and still the largest, State-accepted retrospective abstract art exhibition in Hungary. On 19 December, visitors can view a temporary exhibition honouring the jubilee of the outstanding and representative art selection displayed 50 years ago.
