On 25 July, Városmajor celebrates the anniversary of becoming a public park in 1785 with an afternoon of family-friendly programmes. Visitors can get up close to the machinery used to maintain Budapest's parks at the FŐKERT tractor showcase, climb the tower of the Heart of Jesus Church, join a guided sculpture walk or take part in a children's drawing workshop inspired by favourite memories of the park. The celebrations conclude in the evening with a communal tree-watering event.
