The American Corner Budapest is holding a lecture on 5 March, recapping the results of Super Tuesday and explaining the ongoing US presidential primary elections. Super Tuesday commonly refers to the day in February or March of a presidential election year when the greatest number of states hold primary elections to select delegates to send to national conventions, where each party’s presidential candidates are officially nominated. This year’s falls on 3 March, after which it should be much clearer as which candidate from the Democratic Party will challenge President Donald Trump for November’s elections. The results of the Super Tuesday primary will be analysed by two experts: Dr. Tamás Magyarics from the School of English and American Studies at ELTE, and Professor Stanley Ward from Corvinus University Budapest.
