Between 24 November and 24 December, concerts, children’s activities, collections and other festive events take place on Szent István tér, the focal square in the north Pest district of Újpest. All this is complemented by a Christmas market, where you can buy delicious street food, hot drinks and various stocking fillers, and a free ice-rink that operates until 17 February. The ice rink awaits gliders from 3pm to 8pm on weekdays and from 9am to 8pm at weekends, with an hour-long break for the Zamboni to smooth the ice at 2pm.
