In view of the current extraordinary
situation, the TOBE Gallery is presenting an unusual festive selection
this time around. The gallery’s main theme is photography, but now it’s hoping
to draw attention to the exciting connections between photography, painting
and even glass art. Numerous guest artists will be presented in an eerily
delicate display at the event. The title of the exhibition is a reference to Tim
Burton's 1993 animated film of the same name, where grotesque and horrifying
visions are accompanied by gentle and delicate features. This contrast is
demonstrated by the confrontation of abstract, figurative and geometric works.
