. The swiftly developing subtropical metropolis, Seoul is a hotbed of aforementioned topi, which are completed by the artist's audiovisual experimental project, Nancy Brücke Experimentál (together with animated film director Traub Viktória). The title picture of the series (The King is Sold) - which at the same time covers the concept of the exhibition - depicts the famous ruler of the Joseon dynasty. The significance of red dot applied to his forehead is primarily not spiritual, but merely material: when an artwork is sold, the gallery marks the successfully consummated bargain with a colored dot on the display card beside the painting. In this context, the dot symbolizes the sale of the king, who is not a cultural icon anymore, just a pop brand that anybody can take possess of. The exhibition opening will be accompanied by the projection of a short film shot about the artist's South Korean adventures.
