The Doors and its music are legendary. Through music and pictures, the movie shows the crossing of reality’s threshold, the breakthrough to the other side with an elemental power. Drug-induced visions, ecstatic, scandalous performances on the stage, ritual lovemaking, the blurring of the boundaries between conscious and unconscious – all of this was only possible through the personality of a certain someone, the poet-singer of the band called Jim Morrison.
