Vivicittá -
hail the city, love the city!
The Italians came up with the slogan in 1984 to encourage the people living in beautiful but crowded, almost uninhabitable Italian cities to run and explore their homes and find stunning and valuable features they had never noticed before. Since 1986 Hungary has regularly organized the
Vivicittá Run for the City
, sponsored from 1997 by Matáv, and later by its successor company Telekom.
The third 
jubilee
run is coming up in 2015 - to mark the special occasion and to cater to the crowds whose number has blown up to almost 20,000, the organizers are putting together a two-day celebratory event spanning the whole weekend.
