Music, literature, dance, children’s programmes, gastronomy, and a craft fair await guests at the first festival of the summer. Szeláví! will be held at the replica of the Eger Castle, in the immediate vicinity of the Pilis Park Forest. It is still a relatively new festival, being held for the third time, and will feature a full line-up of local artists on two concert stages. It is a great chance to escape from the city and listen to Hungarian music, even if you are not familiar with the performers. Budapest Bár, Galaxisok, László Kollár-Klemencz, Jónás Vera Experiment, Aurevoir, Carson Coma and Platon Karataev are all worth a bus ride.
How to get there?
- Buses to Pilisborosjenő leave from Árpád híd bus station (check the timetable here). The festival is a 25-minute walk from the autóbusz-forduló stop.
- You can also arrive by car (30 minutes from Budapest) and buy a parking ticket (HUF 2,500) in advance.
