The pleasant, melodic house music of
Super Flu
, the German-based duo of
Feliks Thielemann
and
Mathias Schwarz
, was inspired by artists like James Blake, Caribou and Sigur Rós.
The duo mainly produces instrumental electronic music and the last time they released an album – which was actually named after their hometown – was in 2013. On top of the success in their own country, "Halle Saale" was also very popular in Great Britain. The pleasant melodies and beating electronics are special because they don’t take themselves too seriously; they have a wild imagination and great humor. They stay away from conventions, and refresh their style and music from time to time; meanwhile they let their inner child live on. One part pleasant, beating
house
music, one part toy-instruments, a bit of creativity, and a pinch of madness - the result, the highly entertaining Super Flu, will get on stage at
Akvárium
on April 29.
