The
Sakura
Festival held at the
ELTE Füvészkert
is a tradition that has been upheld for many years. The festival ties in with the blooming of Japanese cherry trees in April, and the Japanese traditional of Ohanami. When the Japanese cherry trees burst into flower at Füvészkert, visitors can imitate the people of Japan and have a picnic in the garden while admiring the blooming Sakura trees. The works produced by the winners and participants of the haiku contest will also be exhibited.
