A retrospective exhibition of Robert Doisneau's works can be seen at the Hungarian House of Photography between 13 October and 10 January. The images have been selected by his daughters, Francine Deroudille and Anette Doisneau, from his enormous portfolio of 450,000 negatives, taken over 60 years between 1932 and 1984. Doisneau is often referred to as the poet of street photography. His main source of inspiration was the citizens of Paris. His most famous photograph, depicting a kissing couple, first published by Life in 1950, has become an iconic image of Paris.
