In the 1970s, Orshi was engaged with body art and performance, while in the ’80s she was occupied with the scientific representation of the body. In the 1990s, the connection of body and consciousness captured her interest, and by the 2000s, she turned to something else, investigating human physicality: the subject of matter itself. The exhibition includes a selection of drawings, paintings and videos, as well as Orshi’s most recent series, Cell Paintings (2017–2018). The exhibition opens on September 27th, with speeches offering a glimpse into the working process.
